Did you know that organic cotton feels softer than cotton that has been treated chemically?
This is because the chemicals used to treat cotton weaken the fiber and compromise the quality of the final fabric. Hence if you have sensitive skin, or just love the feel of soft, pure fabric against the skin, go for organic cotton. It is the best in terms of quality. That said, anyone with sensitive skin, kids and babies would benefit from the use of organic cotton in their clothing.
Quality aside, organic cotton is better for your health and for the environment. Sounds like a crazy sweeping statement.

Well, in the year 2000, of the top fifteen pesticides used in U.S. on cotton, seven were possible to known human cancer causing agents.
When chemicals like insecticides and pesticides are used on crops, including cotton, the chemicals get carried in the air, water and soil into the environment, affecting the plants and wildlife, thereby entering our food chain.
It is time to make a stand. Go for organic cotton whenever possible.
