jacket
Cavemen wore the skin of animals to keep themselves worn. These days, we wear jackets for warmth and to look good. Leather jackets are akin to what our ancestors wore. Made from the skin of animals, these keep in your body warmth to prevent you from turning into an ice cube in winter. (I know, thermals help too as do woolen clothes.. and stuffing your clothes with newspapers for insulation). Leather jackets look fabulously cool too. Think James Dean in the old days. How about the entire crew at The Matrix. Especially the second and third movie where they had the budget for the most incredible special effects ever dressed their cast in absolutely gorgeous leather jackets that upped the cool factor of the movie. Talking about Matrix, Keanu Reeves looked fabulous on TV at one of the awards in a jacket that looked like one of these. Romeo Gigli jackets. I couldn't tell what brand exactly he was wearing, where he was or what he said or what the heck he was doing but I still remember that jacket, years later.
Guys look bigger, more rugged in jackets. A good jacket, casual or not, adds breadth to a man's shoulders. Even skinny guys can take a leaf out of Fumero's book (a character in my favourite book The Shadow of the Wind FPRIVATE "TYPE=PICT;ALT=" ) and stuff the jacket to give the illusion of broader shoulders and a bigger build.
Men look sauve in a good dinner jacket
Actually, quilted jackets and pouf jackets for lack of a better term, seen in the Fall/Winter 2007 fashion shows around the world are extremely warm, soft and comfortable. The are comfort jackets that look simply gorgeous. Pair a pouf top with ski pants and you'd look like a cuddly snow bunny. Especially if white is your color of choice.
Are these pouf jackets the latest trend?
Not really? They have been around for ages, in the form of down jackets you can find amongst these Roxy jackets and must have inspired the trend.
Well made winter jackets which you can count on both to keep you very warm and to make sure you look good include Burton jackets, Spyder jackets and The North Face jackets.

On the runways, Autumn 2007/Winter 2007 Burberry Prorsum featured a gorgeous black leather jacket, glossy, sexy, belted ending mid thigh with the appearance of a mini dress. Worn with black tights, long black gloves and black shoes, black leather jackets rock!Womens motorcycle jackets are always in vogue. Now more than ever, what with the cinched waist, tight fit and gothic look. It is perfect for the somber mood this season.
Double breasted jackets make a comeback this season. Jackets are hot as skirt suits are the key pieces to wear for autumn and winter 2007 to 2008. Although black dominates, an occasional burst of color livens ones wardobe. A russet jacket, like the jacket by Bottega Veneta would liven up any wardrobe. As would a red jacket or a bright blue jacket from Tiziano Mazzilli. Jackets are now mostly cinched at the waist and short like the Stella McCartney jackets. Military jackets are back too. The new jackets are fitted and short, often ending at the waist.
Translated to the real world, leather jackets are a must. Especially the leather motorcycle jackets. Autumn and Winter need not be boring. Get yourself a tweed jacket. It is an autumn classic.
Scumacher and Sele have pretty feminine jackets that's great for the summer to autumn transition.
Actually, short skirt long jacket look is still a sexy classic which showcases legs beautifully. Or just wear a long jacket over long pants. Share spirit and Theresa
